Italia, Italia, Italia...
Italy the world champions wahaha...although they didn't exactly put in an extremely good performance against the French, the Catenaccio did well enough to hold out till penalties, scoring every single of the 5 penalties taken. Pirlo, Materazzi, De Rossi, Del Piero and Grosso.
I was really impressed by their semi-finals performance though. It was one of the best that I've seen. Hitting the woodwork twice and scoring 2 goals late late in extra time...what more can you expect of a team that exudes pure class and passion in their right for defending.
Pirlo with his precise passing has been in the heart of the Italian midfield, pulling strings along the whole tournament. He din have many caps to his name before the tournament but has now proved to be vital to the squad.
Cannavaro, the captain of Italy and great leader who defends with so much pride and really had an exceptional tournament. What a way to earn his 100th cap with thw World Cup in his hands. I can just go on and on about what the players have contributed but guess I'm not making this alr long post even longer haha.
Come to think of it, have been supporting Italy since USA '94. But I was still a small and ignorant kid then haha. Well...din really know anything then but still supported Italy until now...recently Spain caught my eye in Korea & Japan '02 ya...quite cool heh.
And of course Del Piero has been the man in Italy all this time. He possesses almost everything a perfect footballer needs. He has the vision, skill, technical ability, incise passing, dribbling, shooting, finishing, heading and is also a deadball specialist of the highest calibre. The things that he lacked a little in was pace. But he more than made it up for with his skills ya haha. Absolutely brilliant footballer. How I hoped he could've moved to Liverpool, but his loyalty and passion for Juve was also an aspect of him the really impressed me. Although he didn't get much of a run out this world cup, and didn't exactly make a huge impact on the games, he was still able to score a goal of pure class against Jens Lehmann to seal the victory against the Germans.
To me, Del Piero is still a hero to me. All-time top scorer and captain for Juventus. Really exceptional player who stands out from many =)

Sigh...what is the meaning of life? A question not for me. Being totally bitter in whatever happened and once again it's not depression for myself.
Just damn sad to see such stuff happening and ya...though it's not on me, I can already feel the sadness welling up inside of me. These things do happen but well...it's just unbearable to see and feel it right in front of my eyes...
Can't be bothered with whatever that happened to me today...yeah even if i was like scrutinised or screwed tmr...all that happens to me does not matter at all...
Words are just a method of expression where one gets engulfed in one's emotions...what I speak is just what I feel and I really want things to go right...

Lol...haven't blogged for ages and ya finally bothered to change my blog layout. Have been too lazy for the past 2 year haha...actually just stumbled upon this by coincidence and ya used it...spent quite a lot of time editing it lo...think it looks pretty decent la...Got SF, IJ and Destiny...no prizes for guessing my fav gundam haha. Hm...somehow i can't seem to read the chinese words I typed out haha.
Well CTs were quite screwed but I guess I did put in a significant amt of effort for it la...compared to other tests and ya...at least in my perspective haha...hopefully can get grades that are still alright la wahaha...
Looks like got some people playing around with my tagboard eh...obviously I not that lame ba haha.
Yes...brilliant me woke up at 4pm after watching the early morning games haha...not bad la World Cup so far. But a sad thing that Spain had an early knockout.
Sigh...they looked so promising...with a young team...it was probably inexperience that got them knocked out at the last 16 by France. Hm...of course Alonso's the best la haha...that was quite a biased opinion though. Torres was great tho...
Well hope Italy can win ba...my 2nd fav nat team lol...pity Del Piero isn't in the first team ya...he's great...and used to be one of the best...but of course age is catching up on him and ya...he's sadly past his prime.
Well tmr last day of the long, long weekend aft cts and yep...hopefully will be good la haha.
